Linda Martin from Ireland won the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with “Why Me?”.

Games included:

• The Battle of Vittoria by Vance von Borries. Vittoria is a simple, brigade-level game about Wellington’s victory against the French in Spain on 21 June 1813. For more information about the game, see here.

• The Battle of Friedland 1807 by Joseph Miranda. Friedland is a division level game about Napoleon’s defeat of the Russians on 14 June 1807. Touted as the first of Miranda’s Napoleonic Battles System games, it was the only one produced. The system was novel and it suffered from having its rules and charts mixed in with those of Vittoria.
