Heaton Park Terrorist Attack

When I turned my phone on after Yom Kippur ended and saw the news about the deadly terrorist attack on a Manchester shul, I wasn’t completely surprised. If you allow your country to repeatedly host hate marches and hate speeches, if you allow your country to repeatedly allow demonstrators to takeover public places while engaging in hate speech, and if you refuse to condemn, prosecute, or even shun the perpetrators, what happened in Heaton Park Synagogue was bound to happen eventually. If not there, somewhere else. Similarly, while media outlets such as, primarily, the Guardian (backed up by the BBC), empathetically endorse and actively prefer the propaganda of a terrorist group like Hamas, while belittling, ridiculing, and demonising the Jewish State, that frothing incitement – because that’s exactly what it is – can only lead to violence and terror against the UK Jewish community.

So, I wasn’t surprised, but saddened. How far the UK has fallen. The Jewish community there is in a bad place.

As an aside, I saw that John Swinney posted a typical politician’s comment on X. I had to answer it. Warning: bad langauge ahead.

You're just glad it didn't happen in Scotland so you can pretend it's nothing to do with you. But you shut your ears to the Jewish community and hoisted the Palestinian flag, so you are part of the problem. You don't give a shit about Jews, only about votes.
